Sadhvi Pragya is expected to polarise the Hindu votes besides splitting the Rajput votes in the Bhopal constituency which has nearly 18 lakh voters, including around 4.5 lakh Muslims. The BJP has been holding this seat since 1989. The Congress had last won the seat in 1984 when K.N. Pradhan defeated Laxminarayan Sharma of the BJP by over 1 lakh votes.
साध्वी प्रज्ञा से उम्मीद की जाती है कि भोपाल क्षेत्र में राजपूत वोटों को विभाजित करने के अलावा हिंदू वोटों का ध्रुवीकरण होगा, जिसमें लगभग 18 लाख मतदाता हैं, जिनमें लगभग 4.5 लाख मुस्लिम शामिल हैं। भाजपा 1989 से इस सीट पर काबिज है। कांग्रेस ने पिछली बार 1984 में सीट जीती थी जब के.एन. प्रधान ने भाजपा के लक्ष्मीनारायण शर्मा को 1 लाख से अधिक मतों से हराया।
